Sweetwater at Lake Conroe is located right on the beautiful 22,000-acre lake and has several nearby marinas from which to choose. The lake offers great fishing, sailing, waterskiing, and much more. There are 27 holes of golf on-site and about a dozen more courses in the area. If you feel like swimming, you can enjoy one of four outdoor pools. Afterward take a relaxing dip in the Jacuzzi. Tennis buffs can choose from 18 courts. There’s also a children’s pool and fitness center.

The nearest commercial airport to the resort is in Houston, 45 miles away. From Houston, take I-45 north and exit on Highway 105 west (left). Go about 8 miles to April Sound Country Club. Identify yourself to the guard at the guard station and ask for directions to the O.R.E./ Sweetwater office (unit #4) where you will pick up your keys. Check-in is between 4PM and 8PM. For late arrival, call (936) 588-1467.

The Lake Conroe area offers a delightful blend of nature, history, the arts, and recreation nestled in the beautiful piney woods of east Texas just north of Houston. Hike, bike, camp, horseback ride, or bird watch outdoors in 161,508-acre Sam Houston National Forest or the W. Goodrich Jones State Forest. In historic downtown you'll enjoy fine dining and great outlet center shopping or antiquing. Sightseers will enjoy visiting the Crighton Theatre, and NASA (a two-hour drive away), plus many museums, festivals, and rodeos.
